Unlike other novelty seed products, there's no soaking, shredding, or stressing required with our seed tape! It's ready to plant right out of the bow. What Is Seed Tape?
It's a premium gardening product made from layering and sealing professional grade non-GMO seeds between thin sheets of biodegradable tissue paper. The seeds are perfectly spaced at 1 inch intervals along the length of the tape. This allows for higher germination rates and neat, even rows of sprouts. It also means faster and easier planting for you! You can plant an entire row of seeds in under 1 minute! This makes our bows a perfect gift for gardeners who may be aging or who have limited mobility. Seed tape is a great option for container planting such as window boxes, borders, or small herb gardens as well as in-ground planting.
Growing your own garden from seeds is more cost-effective than buying fresh herbs and flowers at the store, and seed tape makes it easy! Grocery store basil can be over $4 for just a few ounces, while a window box of basil will regrow the leaves picked and will always be fresh when you need it!

RECYCLED: Our bows are made from up to 90% recycled material! Our colorful PET ribbon which is made from recycled plastic keeps waste out of our landfills and oceans. The tissue paper that the seed tape is made of is from certified managed forests and will compost in the soil over time.
RECYCLABLE: That same PET ribbon can be recycled again wherever plastic bags are accepted! If you’re not sure where to take them, contact your local recycling center for more details.
RENEWING: Planting new sprouts is great for the environment and local ecosystem including birds and bees. Freshen your air and soil and enjoy some lovely herbs or flowers at the same time!

How Do I Use My Give+Grow Bow?
Simply remove the bow, pull the ribbons, separate, plant, and tend!
Step 1: Remove the Bow from the Present
Carefully remove the bow from the gift so that it stays in one piece.
Step 2: Grasp Each End Firmly
Grasp each end of the colored ribbons, being sure to grab all 3 ribbon layers on each side (not the adhesive backing).
Step 3: Pull!
Here’s the fun part! Pull apart firmly to detach from the backing. You can pull one side of the ribbons or both simultaneously.
Step 4: Separate the ribbons from the seed tape
You should now have 3 layers and the adhesive strip. Gently separate the white seed tape from the two colored ribbons on the top and bottom. The adhesive strip with the staples in it can be discarded, but the top and bottom ribbons are recyclable! Please recycle the ribbons where plastic bags are accepted.
Step 5: Prepare for Planting
You may trim or tear your seed tape to your desired length if you are planting in containers or a patch of soil less than 3 feet long. Prepare any containers or soil that you intend to use as well. Basil prefers a partially sunny location. For best results, choose a location away from the brightest part of the midday sun.
Step 6: Plant
Dig a furrow the length of the seed tape. Lay your pieces of seed tape out lengthwise in the prepared furrow and cover with about 1/4" of soil to plant and give it a little bit of water.
Step 7: Tend
Basil needs to be watered regularly, about 1" per week. You can expect sprouts in 5-7 days for most seed types.
